Azerbaijan

  • Azerbaijan, often called the “Land of Fire,” is a vibrant country located at the meeting point of Europe and Asia, along the Caspian Sea. Its capital, Baku, is a striking blend of modern skyscrapers like the Flame Towers and historic landmarks such as the Old City . Azerbaijan is rich in oil and natural gas, which play a major role in its economy, but it is equally famous for its ancient traditions, colorful carpets, and Mugham music. The country’s culture reflects a mix of Turkic, Persian, and Russian influences, seen in its language, architecture, and cuisine. Dishes like plov, dolma, and kebabs are central to Azerbaijani hospitality, always accompanied by strong tea often served with sweets. With its mountains, fertile valleys, and Caspian coastline, Azerbaijan is a land of diverse landscapes, history, and warm traditions.
