• Alleppey Houseboats (also known as Kettuvallams) offer a unique way to experience the serene backwaters of Kerala. These traditional wooden boats, once used for transporting goods, are now converted into floating cottages with bedrooms, attached bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas. Cruising through the palm-fringed canals, paddy fields, and village landscapes, the houseboat provides a peaceful escape from city life. Guests enjoy freshly cooked Kerala meals onboard while relaxing to the slow rhythm of the waters
• Alleppey is often called the “Venice of the East”, and a houseboat stay is the highlight of a Kerala trip — blending comfort, culture, and natural beauty.

Includes:

• Welcome drink (tender coconut water / fruit juice / soft drink).

• Accommodation in the booked houseboat (AC/non-AC as chosen).

• Meals on board (traditional Kerala cuisine – usually:

  • Lunch: Kerala meals with fish curry/fry, veg dishes, sambar, rice, etc.

  • Evening: Tea/coffee with snacks.

  • Dinner: Rice/chapati, veg curry, chicken/fish curry (depending on package).

  • Breakfast: Dosa/Idli/Appam with stew/egg dishes).

• Cruising through backwaters (usually 4–5 hours).

• Evening & morning village views (paddy fields, canals, coconut lagoons).

• Staff service – captain, cook, and helper on board.

• Stay in air-conditioned rooms (for deluxe/premium/luxury boats – AC timings may vary).

• Basic facilities like attached bathrooms, clean linen, towels, and toiletries.

Excluded:

• Transportation to/from the boarding point (you have to reach the jetty yourself unless arranged separately).
• Extra beverages (soft drinks, packaged juices, mineral water, alcohol).
• Special food requests (lobster, prawns, crab, duck roast, etc. – usually charged extra).
• Personal expenses (tips, laundry, etc.).
• Activities outside the boat (canoe rides, village tours, fishing, cultural shows – if not mentioned in your package).
• Early check-in or late check-out (boats generally operate check-in around 12:00–12:30 PM and check-out at 9:00 AM).
• Full-time AC in deluxe category boats (AC mostly works from 9 PM – 6 AM unless you’ve booked premium/luxury).
